http://www.essexscouts.org.uk/campsites/arklane.php – Crouch Valley District Scout camp site, a woodland site with basic facilities including pioneering.

http://www.essexscouts.org.uk/campsites/edwardviii_riffhams.php – Riffhams camp site is yet another local woodland site with basic facilities. It has a tree preservation order on it which can make bush craft difficult, but it is an excellent site and shouldn’t be overlooked.

http://www.fairmead.info/ – Fairmead Scout campsite in Loughton is right on the edge of Epping Forest. It has two large accommodation facilities, camping fields and adventure play area/assault course. Drainage can be an issue, however the accommodation has generous covered areas for outdoor activities.
