We have some spaces in Beavers, some in Cubs and one or two in Scouts.
Boys and girls welcome in all sections.
Our Group leader is John Howard (01702 548356)
Alternatively please drop in at a meeting- Tuesdays 5:45 Beavers; 7:00 for Cubs.
Scouts Wednesdays 7:30 onwards.
The aim of 4th Rochford is to encourage the physical, mental and
spiritual development of young people so that they may take a
constructive place in society.
To this end we provide an enjoyable and attractive scheme of
progressive training, based on the Scout promise & law, and guided
by adult leaders. We call this "everyday adventure".
The Scout Association stands apart from other providers in youth
services. We have a clearly worded and unequivocal promise and a law,
which every member must accept. Just as the training each Scout
receives is progressive according to age, so the promise & law
reflects the individual’s understanding as they move from section to
section
This Group is not sponsored by any church or other organisation
· We raise our own funds
· We meet in our own Hall
· We attend 4 Church parades per year (variable) held at St Andrews Church; these are not compulsory
· Our membership is open to ALL
All Leaders are trained and subject to strict vetting controls,
including police checks. You are welcome to drop in to any meeting or
activity to see what is going on.
